English Grammar: How to use 5 confusing indefinite pronouns



There are 3 types of indefinite pronouns:

1. Singular:
 - everybody
 - everyone
 - everything
 - somebody
 - anybody
 - nobody
 - each
 - every
 - much

2. Plural
- both
- several
- few
- many
- others

3. Singular-Plural
- most
- all
- none
- any
- some

Example:
1. Most of the book is interesting.
2. Most of the books are interesting.
3. All of the furniture was expensive.
4. All of the chairs were expensive.
5. All of the food was delicious.
6. All of the desserts were delicious.
7. None of the equipment was delivered.
8. None of the computers were delivered.
9. Was any of the advice helpful?
10. Were any of his ideas helpful?
11. Some of the information is important.
12. Some of the lectures are important.
